Arrival and Departure Procedures

• When you turn into our car rider line from Ronald McNair Blvd, for morning drop off, you may use either lane. Follow the road around the school.
• Please use caution when approaching the car line exit intersection.
• If your car line is slowing down or stopped, make sure to not block the intersection so exiting vehicles may proceed.
• Both lanes of traffic will continue following the road and be ready to merge.
• Cones will be in place near the last curve in the road before reaching the front of the school merging both lanes of traffic into the right lane.
• Remain in the right lane and follow the road around to the front of the school building. Staying in line, move up to the next open number and stop to drop off your student. 
• Once your student is safely out of your vehicle, follow the road to the stop sign.
• Vehicles still moving through the car rider line with students have the right of way. When it is safe to proceed, move through the intersection and follow the single-lane road to it’s exit onto Christa McAuliffe street. 

• Do not drop children off in the parking lot for safety reasons.
• Please remain in your car during drop-off. Staff will be available to assist your student.
• Obey the directions of teachers on duty. We are working diligently to make drop-off efficient and safe for everyone.
• In order to help the line move safely and smoothly, have your student gather their supplies and be ready to exit the vehicle promptly.
• Students may only exit on the right side of the vehicle. 
• Wait until the car in front of you departs to exit. Do not go around vehicles.
• In order to unload the maximum number of students in the drop off zone, please pull up as far as possible when unloading your child.

• In the afternoon, you’ll use the same entrance to the car rider line but this time only use the right lane. We’ll be keeping the left lane open for people needing to reach our visitor parking. 
• Follow the line to the last curve in the road before reaching the front of the building. Stop here and wait for dismissal to begin. At dismissal, a staff member will be present to direct traffic to the front of the school. 
• Drive to the front of the school and stop at the next available number. Once your student is safely in your vehicle, proceed to the stop sign.
• Just like during drop off, vehicles still moving through the car rider line with students have the right of way.
• When it is safe to proceed, move through the intersection and follow the single-lane road to it’s exit onto Christa McAuliffe street. 

Afternoon Car Rider Procedures

• Please remain in your car during pick-up.
• Students may only enter on the right side of the vehicle.
• Wait until the car in front of you departs to exit. Do not go around vehicles.
• In order to load the maximum number of students in the pick up zone, please pull up as far as possible when picking up your child.
• Obey the directions of teachers on duty. We are working diligently to make pick up efficient and safe for everyone.

All transportation changes must be in writing as a written note or an email submitted no later than 1:00 pm on the day of the change. Please email:

An email to the classroom teacher does not meet these requirements and will not be honored.

Students may picked up early at the front office for doctors appointments, dentist appointment, etc.  Please bring a government ID to sign out your child.

Students cannot be picked up in the front office after 2:00 pm due to afternoon dismissal.
